It covers about 113 square kilometres, from the US border north to the Cloverdale community and from Crescent Beach in the west to roughly 190 Street in the east. About 41% of it is in the Agricultural Land Reserve, mostly the Kensington farmland and part of Morgan Creek. White Rock is a separate city on the shoreline, with its northern edge at about 16 Avenue.
The City's planning list names the neighbourhoods inside it, including Crescent Beach, Crescent Heights, Chantrell, Morgan Creek, Rosemary Heights, Darts Hill and Redwood Heights. The list is a working list and not a legal boundary.
