Latimer is a neighbourhood of Willoughby in the Township of Langley. The Township's boundary runs from about 73A Avenue to 85 Avenue and from 196 Street to about 205 Street, with 200 Street through the middle. In the Township's parcel data, 1,912 of its 2,980 parcels are in comprehensive development zones, 743 are small R-CL lots with a median of about 2,900 square feet, and 192 are larger SR-2 lots with a median of about 52,800 square feet. At the north end is the Vesta Latimer Heights plan, with the Towers at Latimer Heights, which Vesta calls Langley's first two high-rise concrete towers.

Latimer is covered by the Township's Willoughby Community Plan (Bylaw 6201) and the Willoughby Transit Corridor Plan (Bylaw 6202), both adopted on June 15, 2026. They propose a bus rapid transit line down the middle of 200 Street, with hubs at 76, 80 and 84 Avenue on Latimer's stretch of the street.

For schools, most Latimer addresses feed R.E. Mountain Secondary (7633 202A Street) for grades 9–12, an IB World School running Langley's only IB Diploma Programme (Grades 11–12), with a Pre-IB Honours preparation stream in Grades 9–10. Elementary feeders include Donna Gabriel Robins Elementary and Josette Dandurand Elementary, which opened in September 2025. From September 2027 the two part company: the district has Josette Dandurand going through Yorkson Creek Middle to R.E. Mountain, the west side of Donna Gabriel Robins through Peter Ewart Middle to R.E. Mountain, and the east side through the new stɑtl̓əw̓ Middle to Emery Dosdall Secondary. SD #35 redrew Willoughby Slope catchments for 2025–26, and a further redraw lands in September 2027 when the new Emery Dosdall Secondary opens; it will take most of eastern Willoughby while R.E. Mountain keeps the western side, so catchment lines here are actively in motion. SD #35 also operates French Immersion as an application stream.

By transit, Latimer has no SkyTrain. Willowbrook Station, at the north-east corner of 196 Street and Fraser Highway, is the nearest planned station: about 2.4 kilometres from the closest edge of Latimer and 3.6 kilometres from its middle, with the project giving late 2029 as the anticipated in-service date. The Carvolth Transit Exchange, at the north-east corner of 86 Avenue and 202 Street, is the bus hub just north of the neighbourhood.

Bill 44 applies. Under Township Bylaw 6020 (adopted November 18, 2024) a serviced lot under 4,050 square metres (43,594 sq ft) that is not heritage-designated can hold up to four units. The median SR-2 lot in Latimer, about 4,900 square metres (52,800 sq ft), is above that size, and comprehensive development zones follow their own bylaws. No part of Latimer is within 800 metres of a planned SkyTrain station.

Most Latimer addresses feed R.E. Mountain Secondary at 7633 202A Street for grades 9 to 12. It is an IB World School running Langley's only IB Diploma Programme (Grades 11–12), with a Pre-IB Honours preparation stream in Grades 9–10. The IB Diploma is an application stream within SD #35 (Langley). From September 2027 the Slope splits between R.E. Mountain and the new Emery Dosdall Secondary, so the secondary a Latimer address feeds is worth checking against the 2027 map.

Latimer's walkable core is Latimer Village, close to the 84 Avenue hub of the Willoughby plan: Blacksmith Bakery, Moku Hawaiian BBQ, Dolce Lounge, Layered Home & Living and more. A short hop east, Willoughby Town Centre at 80 Ave & 208 St adds the daily grocery run (Your Independent Grocer, Shoppers Drug Mart, BC Liquor, plus restaurants like An Indian Affair and BanChan Korean Bistro). Big-box (Costco off 200 St, T&T at Willowbrook Shopping Centre, 19705 Fraser Highway) is a short drive west.

Fraser Highway runs east-west south of Latimer, and the Highway 1 interchange at 202 Street is just north. Door-to-door times depend on the hour and the route, so test the drive at the time you would make it.
