Bear Creek is the area around Bear Creek Park, which the City of Surrey measures at about 85 hectares at 13750 88 Avenue. The City publishes no Bear Creek neighbourhood boundary, so the page works outward from the park. The City lists the park's facilities in its Whalley community, and OpenStreetMap places the southern part in Newton.

The park includes the Surrey Arts Centre, an outdoor pool, the Bear Creek Oval track and Bear Creek Youth Park at 8400 King George Boulevard, which has a skate park and a basketball court.
