Form B Information Certificate

A statutory information certificate issued by a BC strata corporation for a strata-lot sale, capped at $35 (Form B itself) under s. 4.4 of the Strata Property Regulation (BC Reg 43/2000).
The Form B Information Certificate is required for every BC strata sale. It is issued by the strata corporation (or its property manager) within 7 days of a written request and discloses key strata facts: monthly strata fees, special levies in effect, agreements affecting the strata lot, parking and storage allocations, and the most recent depreciation report. The fee for the Form B itself is capped at $35 under s. 4.4 of the Strata Property Regulation (BC Reg 43/2000), the regulation made under the Strata Property Act.
A common confusion: the same regulation (s. 4.4 of BC Reg 43/2000) also sets a separate $0.25-per-page rate for copies of OTHER strata documents the corporation is required to provide on request — bylaws, financial statements, AGM/SGM minutes, etc. The $35 Form B cap and the $0.25/page rate are both fee maxima set by regulation; they apply to different documents and should not be conflated. From phased dates in 2026 (Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, and Capital Regional Districts first; rest of BC later), a current depreciation report must accompany Form B.
