- Interviews with Eric Woodward and Jay Lundgren, the two candidates for mayor by Justin McElroy. Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), This is Vancouver podcast (the episode titled "Who is going to be the next Mayor of Richmond? (Part 2)"), October 1, 2026, 34 minutes.
How this is put together
Every entry carries a name only when the speaker or writer can be shown. At the Fort Langley meeting that means a candidate introducing themselves, the chair naming them, or a turn sitting between two proven ones. At the Farmers’ Institute it means a signature on the sheet they wrote it on: every sheet from that evening.
A candidate’s own written answers online count the same way when the account and the candidate say they are theirs: Jay Lundgren’s Reddit “Ask Me Anything”, every answer. Any candidate’s is added the same way.
Anything that cannot be shown stays out. A few statements were recorded with no name attached, and they are kept that way rather than guessed at.
Every spoken word is checked against separate transcriptions: five of the two Fort Langley recordings, three of the Chamber of Commerce forum’s. Where they do not agree on a word, it is shown as “…” rather than guessed. The same rule applies to every candidate.
Summarise it with an AI assistant
Each button opens the assistant with the question already written and a link to the whole record in one file. The summary is the assistant’s, not ours, so check it against the words on this site.
